About Me
I’m an assistant professor of Computational Sciences at Minerva Schools at Keck Graduate Institute. I was previously a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. My current research involves 1) analyzing students' online behavior, 2) workers in the new economy. I received my Ph.D. in economics from the Graduate Center, CUNY in 2017. My general research interests are Education Policy and Education Technology, Statistical Methods in Learning Analytics, Future of Work, and Economic Inequality

- Cloud-Based Data Science
Cloud-Based Data Science (CBDS) consists of two parts. One, a set of pay-what-you-want (including free!) massive open online courses that can be completed on any computer with a web browser and an internet connection. Read more about the project here. - Cauzl
I am a co-founder of Cauzl which is a platform for learning causal inference, econometrics and statistics in an intuitive and fun way. The project is at its final stages and it is currently being user tested. You can check the website here!
- Inequality.Education
Inequality.education will be a collaborative project by Barnard College students in the course Economics of Inequality, Aboozar Hadavand, and Sarah Thomas. This book will hopefully serve as a source, or an encyclopedia, for undergraduate students interested in inequality through an economic lens. The website will be ready soon and will be the first attempt to create a textbook for an undergraduate Economics of Inequality class.
- The Canvass
The Canvass is the first platform in economics that encourages and facilitates post-publication discussion. The Canvass also aims to encourage research by exposing ideas so that faculty, researchers, and students themselves develop a more nuanced understanding of important issues in economics. Researchers can subscribe to discussions so they will be notified of new development of the debate.
